Please understand that the pricing information provided is a disclosure of all hospital line item pricing. We are required by the government and private insurers to maintain a “price list” (sometimes referred to as the hospital chargemaster) for all of the services we provide.
The price list is unlikely to be the basis for the final charge on your hospital bill, as a result of your care, as there are many variables involved in the cost of the actual services, such as the length of time spent in surgery or recovery, specific equipment used, supplies and medications required, additional tests ordered by the practitioner, or any unusual special care or unexpected conditions or complications that may occur during the course of your receiving health care services. The pricing information posted reflects individual hospital “price list” charges for specific services.In most cases, patients can expect to see a variety and/or combination of expenses on their hospital bill, based upon the service they receive and the arrangements negotiated by their insurer with The Hospital.

To have a discussion about particular treatments, you may be asked to provide a procedure code, which you can request from the clinician who ordering the services. The amount you owe for the services provided to you by the hospital depends on the specific insurance plan you purchased. To determine how much of the cost of the care you received has to be paid by you directly (sometimes called co-pays, co-insurance or deductibles), please contact your insurance company directly.
