The Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary is comprised of men and women volunteers who support Carthage Area Hospital and believe the it is an integral part of their communities. Through their efforts, the Auxiliary is able to assist in purchasing much needed hospital equipment.
The Auxiliary includes in-service volunteers, fundraisers, project volunteers and inactive members; membership continues to be one of the larger fundraisers. The cost to join is minimal: $5.00 regular; $4.00 Senior Citizen and $50.00 life membership. You can do as little or as much as you desire. In addition to membership, the Auxiliary also raises money by having sales throughout the year such as our annual Christmas bazaar/bake sale, geranium sale, Tie Dye Sale, Book sale and other various lobby sales.
The Auxiliary Gift Shop, manned by volunteers, continues to provide moderately priced merchandise of unique gifts and collectibles, candy, greeting cards, jewelry, handmade infant sweater sets and blankets and various other merchandise.
The Auxiliary presents an opportunity to interact with and meet new people, try out skills and uncover hidden talents to make valuable, personal contributions to making the hospital the best it can be. How much one volunteers is up to the individual – a few hours a day, week, or month, or on a special project; giving of oneself has many rewards and personal satisfaction.
