Carthage Area Hospital is pleased to introduce Carrie Edick, PMHNP; Kristen Bloom, LMHC, CASAC; and Susan Hoenninger, LMHC as their latest providers at Carthage Behavioral Health in Carthage.
Carrie Edick, NP
Carrie is a recent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) graduate from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Northern NY is where she has spent her entire life; therefore she plans on continuing to support her community. Carrie intends to pursue her Doctorate of Nurse Practitioners this fall, also through SUNY Upstate Medical University. In her personal time, Carrie enjoys being on the water, spending time with her family and taking vacations to Florida.
Kristen Bloom, LMHC, CASAC
Kristen is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) and a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CASAC). She graduated with her Bachelors in Social Science from Campbell University in North Carolina and received her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Oswego.
In the beginning of her career, Kristen worked at Credo Community Center and worked previously at Carthage Behavioral Health. She recently worked in the Watertown School District with military family members prior to returning to Carthage Behavioral Health.
Kristen is married with three children. She loves animals and aspires to utilize animals in a therapeutic setting.
Susan Hoenninger, LMHC
Susan was born and raised on Long Island, moved to CNY in 1985 and now resides in Richland, NY. In the beginning of her career, she was a Litigation Paralegal. After finding her niche, she decided to change careers in 1994 and went back to school to become a Therapist. She received her M.S. from SUNY Oswego in Human Services/Counseling and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2006. Susan has worked for various agencies in many different settings, previously had a private practice, and before coming to Carthage Area Hospital, she was employed for the past two years as a Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) in the school setting. Some of Susan’s treatment specialties include treating victims/survivors of all ages for domestic violence including sexual abuse and assault, anxiety and depression, and working with adults and providing couples/marital counseling.
Susan has two children and one granddaughter. Her leisure activities include gardening, bird watching, cooking, crafting, reading, and playing with her three Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
