Event Promises Interactive Fun for All; Benefits Carthage Hospital Foundation
A fun-filled evening of live entertainment takes the stage Saturday, Oct. 6, as Slack Chemical and the Carthage Area Hospital Foundation present the 6th annual Dueling Pianos show at the Carthage Elks Lodge, 511 Fulton St.
The event kicks off with a social hour at 6:30 p.m. that includes a cash bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Kyle Pleskach. The piano showdown begins at 7:30 p.m. with entertainers from Cutting Edge Dueling Pianos at the keys of two baby grand pianos.
Now in its sixth year, the event has gained popularity as an evening of first-rate live entertainment. The high-energy, sing-along show is a lively, interactive experience as pianists take audience requests and incorporate a wide range of musical tunes. Visit cuttingedgeduelingpianos.com to view past performances.
All event proceeds — ticket sales, basket auctions, and sponsor donations — benefit the Carthage Area Hospital Foundation, which aids in capital investments to improve health care at Carthage Area Hospital. Money raised this year will help the hospital’s Ambulatory Surgical Unit purchase a high-definition operating room imaging tower. The roughly $92,000 equipment package delivers superior image-viewing for surgeons while they perform endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. It also enables surgeons to capture high-definition photos and video and share imagery across multiple hospital networks.
Tickets are $30 each and are on sale for 220 guests. For reservations and tickets, visit carthagehospital.com/duelingpianos, call the Carthage Area Hospital Foundation, 315-493-0114, or email Taylour Scanlin, tscanlin@cahny.org, no later than 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1.
The 6th annual Dueling Pianos Show is made possible through the generous support of Slack Chemical, presenting sponsor, and partners Lunco Corp., Community Bank, AmeriCU Credit Union, Bousquet Holstein, IMEC, Northern Credit Union, Northwestern Mutual — Brian Wilcox, Foy Benefits, Barrett Paving, Fuller Insurance Agency, Synergy Surgicalists, the Pleasant Night Inn, and media sponsors Tunes 92.5 FM WBLH Radio and NewzCliq.com.
