Community Engagement Series Event to Test Health Knowledge of Men, Women
Let the battle begin Thursday, June 28, as Carthage Area Hospital hosts a trivia night that will test the health knowledge of men and women.
“Battle of the Sexes: Health Trivia” is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Carthage Elks Lodge, 511 Fulton St. The Community Engagement Series event is free and open to the public and includes complimentary light food and beverages. A cash bar is also available.
“Learning effective strategies to improve your health shouldn’t be stressful,” said Emmylu Royer, Carthage Area Hospital population health coordinator. “Health trivia night is a chance to have fun, gain valuable information to empower your wellness journey and interact with health professionals in a friendly setting.”
To raise the stakes and make the evening livelier, four-person co-ed teams of men and women will square off for bragging rights. Trivia questions will focus on a wide range of men’s and women’s health topics. Each member of the winning team will take home a gift pack that includes a certificate for an entrée of choice from Carthage Area Hospital’s “go FRESH” healthy meals program, a Price Chopper gift card and more.
Members of Carthage Area Hospital’s Medical Staff will be on hand to “referee,” answer a wide range of health questions and offer helpful information for attendees.
Through the Community Engagement Series, Royer said, hospital officials aim to connect residents with providers in a stress-free setting where people can engage more completely with clinicians and comfortably ask questions. The health trivia event is the fourth of nine forums slated this year.
Space is limited. The deadline to RSVP is Monday, June 25. Call 315-519-5907 to sign up today or register your team online at www.carthagehospital.com/healthtrivia. Odd numbers of guests will be paired off into teams. WWNY TV 7 and WNYF Fox 28 is a proud media sponsor of the 2018 Community Engagement Series.
